Level the Playing Field, Pool, and Stage

The Play Without Limits Project (PWLP) is an initiative that grants full-tuition youth activity scholarships to kids in need. PWLP believes that all kids – regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity, ability, or socioeconomic status – should have access to life-changing youth activities. Play Without Limits unlocks access to safe and fun activities led by trained instructors from best-in-class programs. These include US Sports Camps, the official provider of Nike Sports Camps, School of Rock, the leader in performance-based music education, Streamline Brands, the world’s largest operator and franchisor of swim schools, and i9 Sports, the nation’s largest multi-provider of youth sports leagues.

Sadly, statistics show that the youth activities playing field isn’t level.

• Only 24% of kids in low-income households aged 6-12 regularly played team sports in 2021, and Hispanic (32%) and Black (31%) children aged 6-12 played sports less frequently than White (38%) children. (Sports and Fitness Industry Association)

• 79% of kids in low-income households have little-to-no swimming ability. (USA Swimming Foundation)

• Nearly four million preK-12 students don’t have access to music education. (GRAMMY Music Education Coalition)

However, when kids have access to youth activities, the results are powerful. Regular physical activity has countless mental and physical health benefits. Learning to swim saves lives, and a recent study published in Frontiers in Psychology concludes that music education boosts the wellbeing of adolescents. The Play Without Limits Project aims to deliver these critical benefits by leveling the playing field, pool, and stage. With your donations, the project can award thousands of scholarships for generations to come to help every kid discover and develop lifelong passions.

EXCITING NEWS FROM PWLP! We’re thrilled to announce that the Play Without Limits Project has received an anonymous $1 million in new funding to expand access to life-changing youth activity to expand nationwide access. The new funding will prioritize swim safety programs for kids without opportunities.

This incredible support will allow us to provide full-tuition scholarships to even more children in need and break down barriers for more children from low-income areas so them too can experience the joy, growth, and safety that come with youth activities.
